Bennett Lebherz is the founder and president of JPF Capital, a private family
office for the Lebherz Family. With a major from Long Beach State University in
Finance, Real Estate, and Law, Bennett first started his career with First
Republic Investment Management where he acquired extensive knowledge in investment management
strategies and business operations. After a successful 7 years with First Republic, Phil and Bennett
partnered up to grow the Lebherz Family real estate portfolio. Shortly thereafter, Bennett created JPF
Capital to act as the family office to manage Phil and Sharon’s estate.
The Lebherz Family real estate portfolio started in the early 1980’s when Phil purchased his first building
in San Mateo for his company LISI. As LISI grew, so did Phil’s real estate holdings. Phil acquired two
additional office buildings and multiple family residences around the state of California. When Phil and
Bennett teamed up, they created a goal to diversify income out of LISI and into a nationally diversified
real estate portfolio. The strategy was to locate quality value-add assets in strong desirable markets.
The strategy has proven to be successful. Today, the real estate portfolio holds assets in the commercial
office and retail, hotel, multi-family, agriculture, and private residential sectors.
Bennett lives with his wife Michelle and their 3 children in Alamo, California. Bennett sits on the
investor advisor committee for the Cresset Capital Qualified Opportunity Zone Fund 1 and participates
on the board of some of Phil and Sharon’s investments.
